| Problems in online Advertisement |
There is a huge gap between the percentage of time consumers spend online (it’s high) and the amount of money major marketers spend advertising online (it’s relatively low) drives executives at Yahoo, Facebook, AOL, the New York Times and every ad-supported startup out there completely nuts. At conferences and panels, these web execs like to blame the problem on poorly educated advertisers.
We need to do a better job explaining how the internet works, they’ll say. Content Continues Below Online ads aren’t interruptive or engaging enough, they’ll suppose. In both cases, they’re right. But only partly. A huge–$65 billion huge–part of the online advertising problem is that web marketers know exactly how the web works and how to engage its users–on their own.
These big companies know that using popular platforms like YouTube,Facebook MySpace and yes, the internet itself, they can market their products without paying for any advertising at all. To this point, it’s worth reading CEO of Media research and advisory firm Outsell Anthea Stratigos’s Q&A with Forbes. In it, she tells Forbes that over the last eight years, companies have shifted $65 billion in annual spending away from traditional advertising channels and spent it on “page content, Web analytics, search engine optimization and site design.” $65 billion is a huge number.
Here’s how Anthea put it in context for Forbes: To scale that, compare the total U.S. TV and cable advertising revenue for 2009, which is about $66 billion. The marketing dollars companies now spend on their own sites is equivalent to all TV ad revenue for the year. Eight years ago we said that the Global 2000 would be the dot-coms of tomorrow.
That’s what’s playing out. She says the shift is why she agrees with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer’s assement that global advertising isn’t just in a recession but has been “reset” at a lower level. “Advertising which has left the news industries is not going to come back in its same shape or form.”

| MBA Programs in Hospitality and Tourism |
A career in hospitality and tourism isn't exactly a vacation , it is a field packed with opportunity. Indeed trends like the rapid growth of tourism and hospitality in Asia and the application of new technology have made the industry an even more alluring destination for business-class people.
An MBA degree with a hospitality focus, or a specialized master’s in tourism, can differ substantially from a more generalized MBA in a couple of ways.
the hospitality industry is really hands-on, and it places a considerable amount of emphasis on real-world experience.
With this in mind, many specialized MBA programs tend to recruit students who already have experience in related industries.
Master of Management in Hospitality program are already working in the industry, but their careers have plateaued at the middle management level.
"In the back of their head, they've thought about getting an MBA, and now they know they want to stay in the industry," says Walp. "A program like ours allows them to tool-up and come back to the industry in more of a corporate management position.”
However, Walp also describes another group of students that he calls “career switchers.” Often, these students have been exposed to a part of the hospitality industry through other avenues.
“If they're in IT consulting, maybe one of their clients was a hospitality related firm, they became interested in the industry through them," says Walp. "They see a hospitality related degree as a way to leverage the skills that they already have from another industry, and transition them into a new career."
Because the hospitality industry is fundamentally hands-on, in order to excel in and after a specialized MBA, it’s important to have some kind of practical experience within the industry.
ESSEC Business School’s MBA in Hospitality Management enables this experience by offering internships and apprenticeships to their students. The apprenticeships are especially helpful in fostering an integration into the field, because students are paid to work in one of many Paris-based hospitality firms for two days a week during the school year, and then for 24 weeks full-time during the summer. Charles Lüthi, the program's director of many students are offered jobs by the organizations they apprentice for, but often opt for more lucrative positions beyond Paris.
Other hospitality programs that offer hands-on internships and apprenticeships include Switzerland’s Glion Institute of Higher Education, Florida International University, and the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. These internships can vary by industry, from analysts jobs in a food and beverage company to operations positions in casinos.
In general, graduates of a hospitality and tourism degree program have many options open to them. They can go into the travel sector, restaurant and catering operations, e-commerce, senior living facilities, cruise lines, casino and gaming operations; the list goes on and on, and is getting longer. |

| Online MBA Degree will Leads You To the Success |
With the vast development and changing of the economies growth of enterprises and industries values of managerial level degrees increases. The importance of an MBA degree in today's cannot be ruled out. But before we start talking about the values of an MBA degree would it not be proper for us to spare a moment's thought about what this MBA is all about? Well MBA is a post-graduate degree in business communication and stands for Masters of Business Administration. This is an extremely popular course, one which has plenty of takers through out the world. It is not for nothing that it is considered as a major step towards a successful career in business management. An MBA degree can prove to be extremely beneficial to all those who are working in the capacity of executives and managers.
An MBA degree aims to prepare its students with the requisite knowledge in both theory and practice which stands to benefit them in managerial and administrative positions. It's a misnomer to think that an MBA degeree is only useful in business establishments, instead it can help people get a job in public and government sector as well. Indeed an MBA degree is looked upon with much reverence and honor across the world.
The only thing is about any MBA course is that you have to spend plenty of hours in attending the classes. Not any more though, for keeping in mind the tight and busy schedule of modern times many universities have come up with MBA courses which can be pursued online. This is one of the greatest gifts of the Internet era, one which is bound to help millions who want to do a particular course but could not do so for lack of time.
NOW thanks to online courses they can very easily realise their dream. Only thing which is required is caution for there are several universities which claim to offer an MBA course and you have to assertain their authenticity before finally taking the plunge. Also determine whether a degree from that university is well regarded or not. If certain precaution is exercised before one gets himself enrolled in any of the online courses then one is sure to reap rich rewards
Given below are the couple of universities which run online MBA courses.
Tulane University: Tulane University offers MBA Master Certificate Track which is the most comprehensive development series and covers the most critical subject areas; that of business and management. The course here is developed with the sole intention of fitting in the modern times which faces acute crisis of time for even the most important aspects of life.
Regis University: The sole purpose with which Regis University started its online MBA program was to help professionals eche out a powerful career in today's ultra-competitive times which are surrounded by business environment which is constantly and rapidly changing. Top most university that Regis is, it is only natural that it would provide education coupled with skills and knowledge which would enable its students to perform exceptionaly within their organizations. |

| To make oneself highly dedicated and disciplined |
One should be disciplined and dedicated to the work so that dreams for career must fulfil. We are not only born to watching dreams but also to make true these dreams into reality. Everyone should keep this kind of mentality
By good imagination and Higher dreams a one can change his destiny. But having two qualities in his/her mind.
1) Continuous struggle for fulfill 2) Do something different to achieve the goal
But these kind of person is very less in number but some of the people they can do challenging work in their life. In the world most are having negative thinking when a competition happens at that time once a person has filled the form then he will be talking about that how I can select in this exam because he does not have any faith on himself. So according to my opinion
"The top most rank is always vacant" so change your thinking process think that I want only one seat from available vacancies. People think that there is discrimination among the castes so you do not worry because this reservation does not matter if you are the first ranker and top ranker breaks all the rules.
So with the help of higher thoughts and dreams if somebody is preparing himself/herself to get first rank or Successful than at least they will select in exam so here positivity works. People saying that" If you aim at apace you will at least sit in plane" so do not think negative in life that's why NEPOLIAN BONAPART said that "NO" word is not in my dictionary. If you want to survivr in this competitive era than you have to be with the environment.
So if you have any target in your life than devote your work to achieve this goal.
You can achieve this target easily if you are discipline and confident about yourself than you can achieve easily. Because DISCIPLINE plays a vital role in our life and if you follow this throughout the life then you will get success.
One can prove this that how successes can be achieved. |

| MBA in the USA |
MBA is not a Holy Grail. But in the some circles of business, you will not have an opportunity to even compete, much less develop and showcase your skills and talents - without first getting an MBA. For such companies, for such industries, an MBA is "Admissions ticket." It is the price of Admissions for being hired. The reasons for this are so many.we live in a vastly different world today. In my father's day, the key was to find the right company, and to work one's way up the corporate ladder. In America, such companies were plentiful - from telecommunications to manufacturing to electronics to the automotive industries - even government. Such companies had strong in-house programs for training and development whereby employees could improve their skills and thereby their lots within the firm. In fact, those with degrees, much less in business, or those with MBAs, were indeed in the minority. Such degrees weren't all that necessary. Such was the business climate of my father's generation. I say my father, because it was also the generation in which a working woman was an anomaly. The world in which we live today, and the one you will face in the years ahead, is an entirely different species.
Today's world is changed. In one hand, many employees change jobs every five years; some even change their careers. Given this migratory labour force, many firms have chosen to let the educational arena, particularly MBA programs, do what was originally handled within a company's particularized training and development program. On the other hand, this fluidity is not limited to employees. In today's climate of mergers and acquisitions many companies are constantly reinventing and reconfiguring themselves as well. Regrettably, loyalty and longevity are values of a bygone age. Unfortunately, this is not the end of the challenge.
Technological development, fueled by an ever widening Internet, has created a paradigm shift both in business and in the business of education. The Internet's true impact is not yet fully understood, but what is clear is that it is changing our world. As a manager, it is not uncommon to be called upon to manage in areas that did not even exist when you were in school (e.g. the Internet). Consequently, if you intend to be an effective manager in this fluid world, an MBA is a useful tool to have. But, an MBA from where?
It is very important question. For some American firms, where you go to school is as important as what degree you pursue. Sometimes, even more so . Getting my undergraduate education at Yale taught me that, and Business Week's, October 2 edition: "The Best B Schools," reinforces the reality that where you go to school still does matter. Such schools as Yale, Harvard, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford, Wharton and Northwestern, all have great brand name value. If you get your MBA from such schools, you will have a wealth of opportunities to choose from. However, if you dig deeper, you will learn that while Harvard and Stanford have great brand names and equally great MBA programs, Yale has a great brand name, but its MBA equivalent degree (Masters in Public and Private Management ) is not as respected as that of Harvard or Stanford's MBA. Still, because Yale's brand name is so great, it seems not to matter that the degree is not as highly valued. As a Yale graduate one still has great opportunities, no matter what degree you pursue. However there is more to the story. |

| Value of MBA |
MBAs from a Corporate Perspective
The business world today is changing at a rate that would have been unimaginable in the past. Wide advancements in technology, changes the customer behaviour, higher expectations from financial investors and in a general sense of impatience are placing tremendous and often paradoxical demands on the top management of corporations. Dealing with such change is requiring them to modify the way they organise themselves
In the presents world, trained resources have become increasingly important so for. MBA graduates have traditionally been looked at as one such trained resource: trained in the art of analytical thinking, trained in dealing with complex issues in a structured manner, and trained to think like leaders. The first firms to think along these lines were the consulting firms, followed by those in the financial services world. This trend has now caught up with other industries - to the level that even small start-up firms recruit some MBAs to add a bit of new thinking to their operations. The results have been mixed, ranging from excellent performances to the downright mediocre. Why is that? Are MBAs not living up to their expectations in some areas, or is it that some environments aren't suitable for MBAs? In fact, the truth lies somewhere in between these two explanations.
Firms that indicate their happiness with the whole MBA recruitment plan have many things in common. All of them, without doubt, offer extremely challenging yet relatively risk-free environments to their new recruits, providing a culture that fosters creativity and acknowledges individual initiative. Most have a clear idea of the growth path planned for the recruits, have ambitious growth plans themselves, and value new ideas that they see as a constant source of innovation. Firms that express dissatisfaction with their MBA recruitment programme, on the other hand, do at times have working environments that are at the opposite end of the spectrum. Such firms have extremely hierarchical organisation structures, with set ways of conducting business. MBAs find themselves wasted in such environments, and either choose to leave for better pastures or stay and perform in an uninspired manner. MBAs, too, should be blamed for some of the concerns expressed with regard to their suitability. Many come into their working environments with extremely rigid ideas about what a good career looks like, about the kind of responsibilities that they should be handling, and about the kind of learning that they should get along the way. Many exhibit poor man-management skills at the beginning, and at times show a distinct dislike for anything that deals with the emotional angle of effective decision-making.
So where then does the solution lie? In a two-pronged approach, which starts by creating an environment that nurtures creativity and team spirit, as well as training MBAs on their emotional intellect to ensure that the chances of an MBA misfire are minimised. Care must be taken to ensure the individual fits with the organisation, and firms that take care to ensure this fit end up as winners with the right team. For example, consulting firms prefer recruits with a certain profile, a profile which could be totally irrelevant in a merchant banking environment or a manufacturing industry. However, MBAs themselves have to start articulating which environments give wings to their potential too, and then go ahead to choose careers in those environments.
The real question that should be asked by companies is 'How best do I attract and utilise MBAs to fit in with our culture?' At the same time, MBAs should be asking themselves questions about which environment will be best suited to the development of their full potential. For both employers and recruits, asking these questions would ensure that there is a meeting of like minds. Issues related to changes in mindset or retaining talent then seem irrelevant. The best way to deal with a problem is to first avoid its creation in the first place - prevention is better and less painful than cure! |

| MBA Enrolement |
Trends of MBA enrolement
The number of MBA degrees conferred annually has seen explosive growth over the last few decades, going from under 5,000 MBAs in 1960 to more than 100,000 MBAs in 2000 -- and now averaging more than 150,000 annually, according to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Enrollment is also influenced by the economy, and as the economy turns toward a downturn, both recent grads and displaced workers head back to earn their MBAs.
Because of the growing number of graduate business programs that confer more and more MBA degrees, the degree itself is not as special or highly-valued as in the past. An MBA alone will not be the magic key to the door of career and job-hunting success.
Types of MBA program One of the questions you'll need to answer is whether you are interested in a general MBA, which is often shorter in duration, or a specialized MBA, which may take longer but make you more marketable.
Regardless of the type of MBA, the core topics you'll encounter include: # Accounting # Quantitative analysis # Economics # Marketing # Organizational behavior
Specialized MBAs offer more advanced study in a particular area of business (such as marketing) or a particular industry (such as higher education).
Finally, you'll need to determine the value of the "name" of the program you are considering. If you are searching for a big push that fast tracks your career, snagging an MBA from one of the top schools in the country may be the ticket. But, if you're looking to simply get ahead and move your careers along, don't discount the many MBA programs that are unranked but that offer you the degree and value you need. (See the link for Business Week, below, which is one of several organizations that rank MBA programs.)
MBA its Costs -- and Returns According to one salary guide, an MBA is worth about $10-30,000 a year over a bachelor's degree, but the salary increase you could see may be much less -- or much more. Factors that can affect your salary include:
* whether you stay with your current employer or seek a job with a new employer. * the amount of relevant experience you have for the job you are seeking. * the reputation of the graduate school you attended. * the type of job you are seeking -- and the level of supply/demand for workers. * the industries where you are seeking a job. * the location of the jobs you are seeking.
But don't forget to factor in the costs as well, with the average cost of graduate study leading to an MBA at about $40,000. Tuition and expenses add up to about $54,000 per nine-month academic year (resulting in an investment of more than $100,000 for the full-time two-year MBA) at Wake Forest University, one of the premier MBA programs. You'll find tuition closer to $12,000 at lesser known programs with generic MBA degrees.
What an MBA Can Do for Your Career If you're looking for the MBA to help you get into the executive suite, it may be just the ticket you need. According to a study by Accountemps, a global temporary staffing service for accounting and finance professionals, 80 percent of executives responding to the survey said that a graduate degree in business is still important to reach senior management ranks within most companies.
And there is growing evidence that having an MBA not only gives you more leverage in dictating new job titles and salary, but also gives you leverage in achieving a better balance between work (read: fewer hours working) and life outside work.
Final Words of Wisdom Whatever you do, don't jump into an MBA program without doing all the necessary research and introspection. And once you have made the firm decision to attend a graduate business program, make sure you read one of our other articles: Criteria for Choosing a Graduate Program.
Sources There are numerous other good sources of information about attending graduate school -- and about the MBA in particular. |

| MBA PROGRAM |
A Career development, career change, boost in terms of wages are among the motivations of candidates."It seemed a good time to learn new skills and build experience.
Stand back, give a theoretical insight to his professional practice, what is actually looking for an MBA in number of frames already experienced, while the youngest are more sensitive to the weight of the diploma and the school mark CV. All are in any case, looking for a career or a career change. With some minor differences.
The classic MBA, for young professionals, often present themselves as springboards to boost or redirect a career, while the Executive MBA - organized part-time courses - are intended for professionals who want more abled accelerate their professional advancement and seek a royal road to seek a general management position. "Our classes are comprised of both sector executives, often supported by their companies, who wish to open opportunities and in particular integrate the board of directors of their company, and people from outside, for whom the MBA teaches a number of techniques specific to the insurance and provides access to a network of professionals,
At Insead, for example, 83% of full-time MBA students know to output a career change, which for a quarter, a change that involves three aspects at once: function, sector and country. With often the key to wage increases, which are around 30% or more. Director of the MBA at HEC who won first place in the category of salary increase at the last ranking by The Economist, Valerie Gauthier remains cautious on this issue. "These salary increases reflect mostly taking leadership of our participants, not an end in itself." To mature
Do not expect everything from an MBA. This training has added value for those who have professional experience on which they will be able to capitalize with new skills. "The results over the medium term are often extremely good, but before making a career change, participants should be prepared to return to their jobs or leaving a lower level to move to another area," Beaurrain warns Mathieu, Associate HR group Lincoln. Head of MBA from EDHEC, Emmanuel Metais also stresses that it is important to wait another thing an MBA, for example, immersion in a different context, maturity. "All of which does not become necessarily pay increase immediately, but can grow on a personal level." |
